Below are the three options provided by ENDURO Timing™ for Track Meets. Before deciding on one of the timing options below, please read the brief "Host Responsibilities" section, which must be agreed to by the host before the timing date can be added to the ENDURO Timing™ schedule. Also please note, the name of our online entry website (TrackRoster) is being changed to "ENDURO Entries". You can continue to access the website by going to "www.trackroster.com". Or, you can now visit our on-line entry website by going to "www.enduroentries.com.
HOST Responsibilities - - - The host is responsible for the following (10) items, which will help insure a successful meet when using the services of the ENDURO Timing Network:
(1) Contact ENDURO Timing™ to confirm the meet date and to provide the necessary meet information to so the meet can be properly set up on TrackRoster™ / ENDURO Entries™ (Options "A" & "B" below). Also, include the following statement on all meet flyers and websites that contain meet information for teams/schools being invited to the meet: Schools planning to attend this meet must submit their entries on TrackRoster by completing Steps 1 - 5 for "Roster Only" meets, or Steps 1-6 for "Seeded" meets. The entry deadline for this meet is ((day, date, time)). This is a ((Seeded -or- Roster Only)) meet. www.trackroster.com If you want to know which schools are planning to attend your meet, you may want to add the following sentence to the statement above. If you plan to attend this meet, you must notify ((person's name)) before the entry deadline at ((phone number)) or ((email address)). (2) Electrical power must be available where the timing computers will be located at the meet. Power must be within 25 feet of that location; (3) A 10 X 10 (or larger) tent placed at the finish line with at least 12 feet of tables and 4 chairs. The tent must have 2 sides and be anchored to the ground. It should be approximately six steps from the edge of the track on the same side as the common finish line camera. (Note: This item may not be necessary if arrangements have been made for the timing crew to work in the press box or one of the ENDURO Timing trailers. This item must be confirmed each year at the time the meet is booked by the host; (4) If the video cable that connects the finish line camera(s) to the timing computers has to cross over the track, the host school must have in place (prior to the time the timing crew arrives to set up equipment) a pole on both sides of the track that the cable can be attached to, that extends high enough above the track surface to ensure that the video cable will not interfere with the athletes during competition; (5) A ladder that is tall enough to attach video cable to the top of the poles mentioned in item #4 (above); (6) Ensure that the field event judges properly fill out the score sheets before they are submitted to the timing crew, which includes - - - (a) labeling the score sheets to reflect the correct event and division, (b) circling the best attempt for each athlete that competes, and (c) breaking all ties and assigning the place for scoring; - - - (This item applies to Options "A" and "B" only.) (7) At least one additional person to work with the ENDURO Timing™ personnel to type field event results into the timing computers during the meet; - - - (This item applies to Options "A" and "B" only.) (8) A Starting Line Coordinator whose responsibility is to verify that the athletes are in the correct lane assignments and wearing the correct hip numbers (if used) AFTER they are on the track and immediately prior to the start of the race. The starter may not start the next race until after the Starting Line Coordinator has made the final verification; (9) A Finish Line Coordinator whose responsibility is to (a) verify that the athletes finished in their assigned lanes, (b) assist in verifying the order of finish (as instructed by the timing crew) for the races in which the athletes do not finish in the lane in which they started, and (c) report all finish line violations and ("complete order of finish") information to the timing personnel immediately following each race; (10) Provide payment for timing services within 1 week following the meet.
